Uncoupling, an insider’s guide to separation in New Zealand

Use your resources

by | Mar 22, 2022

Whatever age or stage of life you may be, separation is hard. No one inherently knows how to navigate the many challenges through to financial separation and becoming the person you need to be to lead you into the rest of your life.

Don’t forget there are plenty of resources out there to help you through. Counsellors will get you through the first stages of separation, managing grief, communication issues and helping you to understand why this separation has come about; coaches can help you look forward into the next phase of your life, and even work with you on a practical level with the separation process.

Friends react in surprising ways to separation and so this is a time when friendships can change. Kindness and support may come from unexpected places. Find the people who help and support you in the way you need.

You will also find practical guidance to navigate your personal journey in my book, Uncoupling, an insider’s guide to separation in New Zealand
